Open Farm Sunday 2012 – get involved!

ow in its seventh year, Open Farm Sunday has brought over three-quarters of a million visitors on to UK farms. Managed by LEAF, Open Farm Sunday is a fantastic day for the whole industry to showcase what we do to produce the nation’s food and look after our wonderful countryside.
Farms of every size and type are invited to open their gates – from large estates through to small family farms. Every farm has their own unique story to tell – so whether you have opened before or are new to Open Farm Sunday, do get involved in the industry’s annual open day and show people the fantastic work you do.
A series of FREE host farmer refresher events are taking place in February across the country. These events are for experienced hosts looking for new ideas, and for farmers who are thinking of opening for the first time. Further on-farm workshops will take place in May to give host farmers a practical insight into how to organise a successful event.
